The Coach

NOT JUST A TRAINER

The weight room was always the answer. Lifting since high school — not as a hobby, but as an obsession. Through every season of D2 basketball at Cal State Stanislaus, the gym was where the real separation happened: before practices, between off-seasons, in every spare hour.

That obsession paid off in a way no one expected. One summer at Stan State, I attended a college football showcase. Never played a down of organized football in my life. Within hours, coaches were pulling me aside. The build spoke for itself — and I walked away with a handful of scholarship offers, ultimately signing with the University of Hawaii.

No football background. Just years of purposeful, disciplined training. That's the proof of what real commitment in the weight room can produce — and it's the exact philosophy behind every program here.
